This week we step away from our traditional blog format to honour Felton team member and resident stage sensation Alfie Arcuri. Just in case you hadn’t heard, when not designing million dollar homes, Alfie is wowing millions with his singing, so much so that he has just taken out top prize at the 2016 fixture of Channel Nine’s The Voice.
He had always loved music and singing but didn’t start showcase his voice publicly until around 18 months ago; in fact, the first time he sang in front of an audience was at his sister’s wedding.
One of three registered architects at Felton Constructions, Alfie Arcuri has proven his talent and expertise in his chosen profession.
Little could we have known that this key member of our design team is not only a talented contributor to our work in custom designed homes, he’s also a stand-out singer who recently became ‘The Voice’ of Australia.
Fans of The Voice may first remember seeing Alfie when took the blind auditions by storm. From there on in, his renditions of a wide range of songs took him on a white-knuckle ride through the various stages of the competition to finally take his place on the podium as ‘The Voice of Australia’ for 2016.
Under the guidance of coach Delta Goodrem, the promising vocalist’s passion and talent saw him conquer a number of well-known numbers and make them his own.
There are many highlights in Alfie’s experience on The Voice:
During the Battles he wowed the audience with a One Direction track, while the Live Shows saw him impress coach Delta with his performance of ‘Pillowtalk’. Other memorable moments included a rendition of Sam Smith’s ‘Lay Me Down’ as well as ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ in week three.
The Semi Finals saw him belting out Sia’s ‘Alive’ and he then went on to perform a show-stopping version of ‘All Of Me’. For many, The Grand Finale was Alfie’s finest hour on The Voice. As he took to the stage with Delta to sing ‘Beneath Your Beautiful’, there were very few dry eyes in the house!
Felton Constructions is enormously proud of Alfie’s achievement on The Voice and equally so of his successful contribution to Felton Constructions.
The recently discovered singing talent studied Architecture at UNSW and registered as an architect in 2015.
Having joined Felton Constructions around 18 months ago, Alfie’s current role includes working closely with clients in the design concept phase, helping translate their wish lists into modern home designs. He works closely with Felton Constructions’ lead architect in developing designs, as well as being responsible for the generation of all 3D renders and the preparation of documentation for council DA submissions.
We’re delighted to bask in Alfie’s reflected glory as he enjoys his new found success and weighs up the opportunities his triumph has brought.
Not many quality home builders can claim to have a budding celebrity and singer on their team! All the best to you Alfie!
